April 20th will be the last of the Cooking for Diabetes classes at Whole Foods (87 Avenue Road) until the fall. If you’ve been meaning to check it out or thinking that it’s time to discover how simple, healthy cooking can be, please sign up for this special class.
What makes this class unique?
Warm and interactive atmosphere
I’m not a trained chef. I learned how to cook from many hours experimenting and watching how other healthy cooks work in the kitchen. All the time I’ve spent learning so you don’t have to! On April 20th you will learn all the tips that I had to discover along the way and recreate them into delicious dishes in your own kitchen. I place a strong emphasis on the fun, wonderful discoveries you can create with mistakes that you may make in the kitchen.
I will provide recipes for you to take home for all the dishes we make during this class. I also allow flexibility with all my recipes. Perhaps you don’t like an ingredient or are curious about substitutions, come learn some flexible cooking tips during this class.
Living with Diabetes
Since we’ll all be cooking together you’re going to meet other people who are either interesting in preventing diabetes or managing it. You’ll be in the company of other trying to improve their eating habits. Anyone is encouraged to share their own cooking tips and how they manage Diabetes. There will also be information booklets to take home provided by the Canadian Diabetes Association.
There will be a draw to win a training session with Whole Self Fitness. Get tips on how to effectively transition into a healthy lifestyle. Discover new grains, vegetables and healthy snacks that are loaded with nutrients, affordable and simple to make. You deserve this class!
